Surrounded by the natural beauty that makes our community so special, Winthrop Harbor's Fall Fest & Trunk or Treat is a celebration of the season, our families, and the community we call home.
This family-friendly event will offer something for all ages, with food trucks, drinks, games, hay rides, face painting, a petting zoo, live music, and plenty of fall fun. It is also an opportunity to continue our longtime Trunk or Treat tradition and showcase the incredible creativity of our residents, families, businesses, and community organizations.
Whether you come as an individual, bring the whole family, decorate a trunk, or participate with your business or organization, we would love to have you be part of it! Come celebrate fall, reconnect with neighbors, make some new friends, and enjoy an evening dedicated to everything that makes Winthrop Harbor a great community.

Trunk or Treat
Our Trunk or Treat is a longtime Winthrop Harbor tradition and one of the highlights of our Fall Fest! Community members decorate the trunks of their vehicles with fun, creative, and family-friendly themes, then welcome children as they make their way from vehicle to vehicle collecting treats.
We encourage individuals, families, businesses, community groups, and organizations to join the fun by decorating a vehicle and becoming part of this great community tradition. Get creative, pick a theme, dress up, and help us create a memorable experience for families throughout Winthrop Harbor.

Decorate Your Golf Cart!
Earlier this year, the Village approved an ordinance allowing properly permitted golf carts to travel on designated Village streets (not state highways such as Sheridan Road). Since then, it has been great to see so many golf carts out and about around Winthrop Harbor!
With that new community tradition growing, we would love to see golf carts join our Trunk or Treat this year! Decorate your golf cart with a fun, creative, family-friendly theme and become part of the festivities.
Whether you participate with a vehicle or a golf cart, bring your creativity and help us make this year's Trunk or Treat one to remember. We hope to see plenty of decorated golf carts at Fall Fest!
